Most of the students who plan to take the IELTS Speaking Test complain about the lack of a comprehensive book on IELTS speaking covering a wide range of topics and providing the students with the necessary words and collocations a speaker needs to know in order to speak with confidence and acceptable fluency. The writers  always felt the need for such a book, and the idea of writing the book inspired them to browse lots of the IELTS Speaking Tests to include as many topics and tips essential for a high band score in the IELTS Interview. The writers have tried to cover as many questions as possible for the sole purpose of increasing candidates’ chances of answering the interviewer’s questions with adequate preparation in advance. The candidates are not supposed to memorize the answers. Rather, they are advised to give their own answers, and try to use the collocations and words in the book. Gradual but continuous practice of the book will certainly help the candidates’ efforts meet with success in the IELTS Interview, providing that the rote memorization of the answers is avoided because it’s very likely that the interviewer, based on expertise and extensive experience,  notices that the candidate is trying to use some memorized sentences without any coherence in the presentation of ideas. Apart from this problem, which tends to arise now and then, in some of the oral examinations the candidate may forget a part, and this might lead to embarrassment and failure to continue the interview effectively. The writers believe that a relative knowledge of grammar, besides  practicing the questions and collocations in this book, will definitely guarantee the candidates’ success in the speaking part of the IELTS.
